Charlotte Arlene Rogers, 85, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed from this life, with her loved ones by her side in her home, on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1938 in Burns City, Indiana to Melvin and Masel (Williams) Baker. Charlotte married the love of her life, Donald L. Rogers on April 2, 1958.
Charlotte was a housewife and also worked at the Cottage Café in Washington. She was a military wife and traveled many places. She had a cake decorating certificate from Okinawa and made many birthday cakes over the years. Charlotte enjoyed her flower garden and working in her strawberry patch. She loved growing vegetables and then canning them. She loved her dogs and cats. Charlotte enjoyed embroidery, flea marketing and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Family left to cherish the memory of Charlotte include: three daughters, Carmen (Darrell) Rogers Dyer, Pam (Steve) Rogers Tedrow and Dawn (Lee) Rogers Wadsworth; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Donald Rogers; daughter, Kim Fiscus; great-granddaughter, Katie Hopple and sister, Judy McCullough.
Private family services will be held at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Minister Barry Groh officiating. Charlotte will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bryan Porter, caregiver Betty Marner, Rose Allen from Gentiva Hospice, Minister Barry Groh and Pat Holland for all of the care and support that they provided for our mother.
