Spoke to your father several times while doing chores across the road, and always enjoyed hearing his stories about farming and the kids in the neighborhood. He was such a pleasant gentle man and a had a warm inviting smile that just wanted to make you talk with him forever. Recently heard: The only thing in this world you can take with you in the casket is "your character". Boy! did Ben have "Character"!! Not only was he a great example & wonderful friend, he could recite from memory some of the most humorous tails & yarns. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know Ben & spend time reminiscing past history.

Ben was always very kind to us growing up and have many fond memories. He and Marion always had a smile and a hug when I saw them over the years. Blessings to the family.

So sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was a good man and I enjoyed talking to him and our mother in years past. My thoughts and prayers are with you both and your families. I'm leaving Saturday morning, but wanted you both to know I'll be praying for you guys.
