Bill Sheehe Obituary

Richard ‘Bill’ Sheehe, of rural Princeton, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, March 8, 2019.  He was born in Washington, Indiana, to Marge and Dick Sheehe on April 12, 1954.

He was a 1972 graduate of North Daviess Junior-Senior High School and a 1975 graduate of ITT Technical Institute, earning an Associate Degree in drafting. He had been working in the fire sprinkler industry since 1975 and was currently employed as an estimator for Geyer Fire Protection.

On May 8, 1976, he married his high school sweetheart, Vickie Lynn Morron, who survives.  Also surviving are his parents, Marjorie and Richard Sheehe, Jr., of Odon; three children: Matthew (Beth) of Indianapolis; Amanda of Alexandria, Kentucky; Mark (Kym) of Francisco; three grandchildren: Tyson, Lynn, and Colton, all of Francisco; sister Ruth Ann (Mike) Flinn of Elnora; brother-in-law Gary (Karen) Morron of Odon; nieces Sarah (Brad) Saladin and their daughters Brylee and Breah of Odon; Rachel Flinn (Nate Rollins), and their sons, Gentry and Adler of Elnora; nephews Wesley (Kristi) Morron and their son Bracey of Vincennes; and Kyle (Amanda) Morron of Camby.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Valda and Bill Overton, Flossie and Richard Sheehe, Sr., and in-laws Betty and Bill Morron, all of Odon.

Bill was a member of the Gibson County Beef Preview Show Committee, the Indiana Livestock Association, the Indiana Beef Cattle Association, the National Beef Cattle Association, and the American Salers Association. He had served on the Gibson County Extension Board and was a beef breed manager at the Indiana State Fair. When his children were younger, he coached East Gibson soccer and basketball, Francisco Little League, and was Cub Master for Francisco Pack 237.

Bill was passionate about his grandchildren, IU basketball, and raising and showing cattle.  He especially enjoyed mentoring young people who were interested in showing cattle.  He got his love of cattle from his Granddad Overton, who bought Bill his first cow at age 10 for 4-H.  Bill and Vickie enjoyed antiquing and visiting Nashville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Central time Monday, March 11, 2019, at Colvin Funeral Home, 425 North Main Street, Princeton, IN 47670.
