Bobby Joe Shafer

Bobby Joe Shafer, 60, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven, surrounded by family at his home, on Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born on October 24, 1958 in Daviess County, Indiana to Gerrie and Sharon (Kaiser) Shafer. He married his loving wife, Lisa M. (Harrison) Shafer, on November 11, 2006.

Bobby was a member of the White River Valley Antique Association and attended Pleasant Hill Community Church. He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator.

Family left to cherish the memory of Bobby includes: his wife, Lisa Shafer; his father, Gerrie Shafer of Odon; one son, Nathan (Cristal) Abel of Fort Gibson, OK; four grandchildren; two brothers, Terry (Tonya) Shafer of Plainville and Tony Shafer of Odon; two sisters, Debbie Parsons of Elnora and Tina (Tony) Page of Washington.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Shafer and his grandparents.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Pleasant Hill Community Church in Odon.
