Donald L. Rogers

Donald L. Rogers, 82, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. He was born on February 2, 1937 in Washington, IN to James and Amanda (Sears) Rogers. Donald married Charlotte Baker on April 2, 1958.

Donald served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war and was a Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force for twenty years. He also worked in Transportation at Crane for ten years.  Donald was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge, Life member of the Crane VFW, and the Air Force Sergeant’s Association. He was a believer of the Free Methodist faith.

Family left behind to cherish the memory of Donald include: his loving wife Charlotte, daughters: Carmen (Darrell) Dyer of Burns City, Pamela (Steven) Tedrow of Mitchell, and Dawn (Lee) Wadsworth of Odon, sisters: Rose Mary (Gene) Rodarmel of Colorado and Amanda Reed of Columbus, IN.  Also left behind are ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Jim and Mervin Rogers, sisters: Thelma White, Velma Rogers, and Buelah Mangin, and daughter Kimberly Lynn Rogers.

Private Family Services will be held on Monday April 22, 2019 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rev. Gary Elsten officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon with full military honors. Masonic Services will also be held at the Funeral Home.
