Leona Miller, 89, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, April 23, 2018 at her home. She was born in Daviess County, Indiana on October 13, 1928 to John and Amanda (Gingerich) Stoll. Leona married Joseph Miller on January 31, 1948.
Leona was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She had worked at Dearmins and as a cook at Raglesville School. Leona was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald L. (Deborah) Miller of Odon and Charles (Rhonda) Miller of Elnora; daughters, Brenda (Glen) Lengacher of Loogootee, Karen (Gary) Swartzentruber, Dianne (Steve) Raber and Joann Miller, all of Odon; sister, Mary Miller of Loogootee.
Leona was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Joseph Miller; son, Clarence Eugene Miller; daughter, Shirley Miller; daughter-in-law’s, Deborah Miller and Jeannie Miller; son-in-law, Glen Lengacher; sister, Edna Knepp; brothers, Henry, Raymond, Jacob, Lester, Noah, Louis, Alvin and Homer Stoll.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Ed Graber officiating. Leona will be laid to rest in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 26 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hearts Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
