Marion Ferguson Obituary

Marion Louis Ferguson, 69, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones at his home. He was born in Odon, Indiana on July 31, 1949 to Paul Gordon and Jessie M. (Hoggatt) Ferguson.

Marion was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a life member of the Odon VFW Post #9627 and a member of the Masonic Lodge #303. Marion worked for Crane Navy Heavy Equipment as a mechanic until retiring in September 2012. He loved to hunt and he really liked his dogs.

Survivors include: one brother, Ed (Nancy) Ferguson of Elnora; five sisters, Fern Merrill of Maine, Jean (Tom) Layton of Odon, Julia (Rick) Griffith of Washington, Leona Stowe of Burns City and Linda Ferguson of Plainville.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Ferguson.

A gathering of family and friends is scheduled for 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM. Marion will be laid to rest, following Military Graveside Rites, in Walnut Hill Cemetery at a later date.
