Almeda Elizabeth Flinn, 92, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on February 5, 1933 in Raglesville, Indiana to Joseph Delmar and Alice (Wadsworth) Byrer. Almeda married the love of her life, Virgil Flinn, on October 20, 1951.

Almeda was a member of the Shiloh Church of God, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She worked as a teacher's aide at North Daviess Elementary for 28 years and then worked at Uniroyal for 11 years before retiring in 2000.

Family left to cherish the memories of Almeda include: two sons, Gregg (Betty) Flinn and Brett (Valerie) Flinn; one daughter, Cindy Bechtel, all of Odon; son-in-law, Dave Bricker of Carmel; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Randall (Shirley) Byrer and one sister, Karen Karns, both of Odon.

Almeda was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Virgil Flinn; daughter, Vickie Bricker; son-in-law, Don Bechtel; brother, Joseph Byrer, Jr.; sisters, Marceline Byrer and Gletus Dant.

Funeral service to honor the life of Almeda will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rev. Steve Sims officiating. Almeda will be laid to rest in Kilgore Cemetery in Raglesville.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 16 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ketcham Memorial Center Bingo. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
