Arretta J. Sisk, 70, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born in Greene County Indiana, on May 15, 1937, she was the daughter of John Lewis Knowles and Velma R. (Tincher) Knowles. On September 23, 1985, she married Lloyd E. Sisk.
Arretta was a waitress at several local businesses including: Stoll's Country Inn (Kluesmier's), the Sportsman's Pub, and the VFW. She retired in 2000. Arretta was baptized at the First Church of God. She was a member of the American Legion Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd E. Sisk, her mother, Velma R. Knowles of Linton, one son, John E. Hubble of Vincennes, four daughters: Kellie M. Chambers of Bloomington, Jeannie A. Lawson and Beth L. Hubble of Linton, and Shannon M. Myngheer (Kenneth) Bilskie II of Vincennes, two sisters: Marilyn Jean Souders and Shirley Ann (Fred) Chamberlain of Linton, 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Arretta was preceded in death by her father, one daughter, Donna L. Miller and a brother-in-law, Alfred Souders.
For those who wish to make contributions in lieu of flowers, the family has requested the American Lung Association.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2007. and from 9:00 AM until the hour of services on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 2:00 PM. with Rev. John Catchem officiating. Burial will follow at the Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana.
