Barbara Ann Havill, 82, of Linton, Indiana, formerly of St. Francisville, Illinois, passed from this life to Heaven, on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Glenburn Senior Living in Linton. She was born on January 5, 1942 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to John and Dorothy (Davis) Hillyard. Barbara was married to Gerald 'Jerry' Wirth and after that marriage, George Havill, Jr.
Barbara was a member of the United Methodist Church in Allendale, IL. She spent her life taking care of her home and family. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara enjoyed gardening, landscaping, working puzzles, reading and painting flowerpots. She was often seen cruising around St. Francisville in her golf cart.
Family left to cherish the memory of Barbara include: one son, Tim Wirth of St. Francisville, IL; two daughters, Melinda (Jeff) Jones of Savoy, IL and Robin (Tom) McKain of Sullivan, IN; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Eric Havill of North Carolina and Jayson Havill of Highland, IN.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her first and second husbands; son, Barry Wirth; three brothers, John Richard 'Dick' Hillyard, Jack R. Hillyard and Larry Hillyard; one half-sister, Norma Jean Hillyard and her loving dog, Kirby.
Funeral services to honor the life of Barbara will be at 1:00 PM CST on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the United Methodist Church, Corner of East Oak and Third Street in Allendale, IL. Barbara will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in St. Francisville, IL.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM CST until the time of service at 1:00 PM CST on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence Co. Humane Society, 10082 St. Rt. #1, Lawrenceville, IL 62439.
