Barbara J. Weddle, 75, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Linton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Linton, Indiana. Born in Linton, Indiana, on December 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Charles and Anna (Wilkie) Bechtel. On April 16, 1963 she married Elmer Weddle. Barbara worked as a housekeeper at Shakamak State Park for 13 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of the American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

Survivors include her husband; Elmer Weddle, daughter; Marsha J. (John) Martin of Dugger, IN, son; Donald R. (Gloria) Davenport of Winslow, IN, stepchildren; Donna (Larry) Bechtel of Odon, Bonnie (Leroy) Pearson of Carmi, IL, grandchildren; Travis (Jessie) Martin, Angel (Paul) Mikusac, Crystal Wadworth (companion Stephanie Menton), and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Judy Thompson of Hymera, Donnetta Arthur of Linton, IN, nieces; Sindy Ausman, Deb Fry, Charlene Mauery, Susie Douithitt, nephews; Onnie Fulk, Zachary Fulk, Charlie Kent, Tim Poynter, and several great nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, step son Elmer M. Weddle, brother; Richard Bechtel, sister; Helen Fulk, and half-sister; Doris Poynter.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2007. Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 1:30 PM. with Rev. John Booker officiating and burial will follow. Memorial contributions are to be made to the Humane Society.
