Bette Jean 'Jeanne' Cox, 74, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born on August 23, 1948, in Linton to Dorrel E., Sr. and Betty L. (Pilk) Johnson. Jeanne married her loving husband, Frankie L. Cox on December 14, 1979.

Jeanne worked at Keller's Aluminum at Linton for many years. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with Frankie and playing games on her laptop.

Family left to cherish the memories of Jeanne include her husband, Frankie Cox of Linton; four daughters, Pamela Aynes (Wayne Wolfe) of Linton, Laura (Chris) Blanton of Linton, Mitzi Johnson (Bert Clark) of Worthington and Kimberley Holcomb of Linton; one son, Jeffrey (Sandy) Cox of Linton; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Robert D. Johnson of Lyons and sister, Catherine Foster of Linton.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Frankie Lee Cox, Jr. and son-in-law, John Holcomb; brothers Don Johnson, Dorrel 'Bud' Johnson and sister Audrey Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Jeanne will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
