Beverly N. Spoonmore, 90, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born on August 25, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois to Harry F. and Emily Nina (Stultz) Chesnut. Beverly married Arnold Dale Spoonmore on August 28, 1954.

Beverly was a member of the Bloomfield Antioch Christian Church and a 73-year member of the Eastern Star. She worked at Crane Naval Base in Ammunitions and at General Electric. She also worked security at the Indy 500 and was a substitute teacher. Beverly liked to ride horses and travel. She was able to visit all 50 states, including driving the Alcan Highway to Alaska, Canada, Scotland, Portugal and London. She really enjoyed going on cruises.

Family left to cherish the memory of Beverly include: one daughter, Dawnee (Lee) Small of Newberry; grandchildren, Scott (Marla) Small and Lori Beth (Jim) Kelley; great-grandchildren, Ashlie (Kenny) Hinkle, Katie (Rhett) Whaley, Ashley Small, Jared Small, Julie Hudson, Gracie Hudson, Brady Hudson and Zachary Dale Hudson; great-great-grandchildren, Ezra Hinkle, Everly Hinkle and one on the way, baby girl Whaley; brother-in-law, Jerry Waldridge. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Spoonmore and a sister, Rhea Dawn Waldridge.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Darrell Arthur officiating. Beverly will be laid to rest in Owensburg Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star memorial service will be held prior to the service at 12:45 PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Village Christian Care for their care and patience of Beverly through the years. They would also like to thank the Emergency staff at Greene County General Hospital for all that they did for Beverly.
