Brenda J. Walls, 77, of Vincennes, Indiana, formerly of Elnora, Indiana, passed from this life, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on May 10, 1946 in Washington, Indiana to George Henry and Martha Joyce (Summitt) Emmons. Brenda married Jackie Coleman Walls on November 28, 1968.

Brenda was a member of the Elnora Christian Church, Elnora American Legion Auxiliary and Odon VFW. She graduated from Elnora High School, Vincennes University and Indiana State University, majoring in secondary education. Brenda taught 9th Grade English and Literature at Jasper High School for five years and worked at General Electric in Bloomington. The opportunity then opened up for her to work at Graham Cheese Corporation for 29 years, starting as a salesclerk and then eventually being promoted to office manager. She worked another 7 years at Vincennes and Washington Wal-Mart before retiring. Brenda enjoyed reading, photography, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family left to cherish the memories of Brenda include: her three children, J. Nicole (Don Buzzard) Smeltzer, Colby (Jennifer) Walls and Colleen N. Walls; grandchildren, Justina (Daniel) Mendenhall, Ashlyn (Andy) Powers, Sascha (Kamber) Koningstein, Sandy (Mike) Buzzard, Donnie Buzzard, Dennis Buzzard, Kaitlynn Walls, Megan (Jaden) Walls, Devon (Ashley) Mullen and Connor (Aubrey) Mullen; great-grandchildren, Bradyn Mendenhall, Glen Mendenhall, Brody Grant, Noah Grant, Mia Grant, Raylan Grant, Avery Mullen and Deacon Mullen; and sister, Lori J. Shake.

Brenda was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 34 ½ years, Jackie Walls; her beloved twin sister, Linda Joyce Long; son-in-law, Donald Buzzard, Jr. and William Mullen.

Funeral services to honor the life of Brenda will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Elnora Christian Church with Danny Emmons officiating. Brenda will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the church.
