Charles D. Cooper, 73, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1949 in Bedford, Indiana to Frank Harvey and Dorothy J. (Stader) Cooper. Charles married his loving wife, Anita (Wininger) Cooper on June 19, 2004.

Charles was a custodian at Eastern Greene High School and served for a time as a Firefighter at Mitchell. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed spending time watching it.

Family left to cherish the memory of Charles include: his wife, Anita Cooper; two sons, Michael Cooper and Jason Cooper; one daughter, Tammy (Kenny) Buechele; step-daughters, Ashley (Jeremy) Goodman and Lindsay (Walter IV) Bess; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita (Charles) Root and Rosetta (Harold) Hawkins.

Charles was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Betty Cooper and brother, Harvey Anzel Cooper.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Adam Cissell officiating. Charles will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
