Charles B. "Chuckie"
Rogers
Sep 16, 1955 — Sep 9, 2026
Linton, IN
Charles B. "Chuckie" Rogers, 70, passed from this life into eternity, September 9, 2026, in Bloomington. He was born on September 16, 1955, the son of Charles B. and Myra L. (Cooper) Rogers.
Chuckie was member of the Linton Church of Christ and had attended Linton-Stockton High School. Chuckies' life was full of struggles, but he always remained positive. He was born with the dreaded polio disease and couldn’t walk until he was an older child. As a little boy, he could be seen being pulled down the sidewalk by his family in a little red wagon with a smile on his face. Chuckie loved his family and would often talk about his grandmother, parents and his sister Gloria, as they had devoted their time in caring for him. He loved talking to everyone and anyone and was concerned about how things were going for you.
Family left to cherish the memory of Chuckie include one daughter, Karri Anthis of Tennessee; son, Patrick Simpson of Loogootee; granddaughters, Stasey Poole and Kaylee Hillaird, both of Mt. Carmel; great-granddaughter, Harper and many cousins.
Chuckie was preceded in death by his mother, Myra L. Lawson; his father, Charles B. Rogers and his sister, Gloria Edwards.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating.
Arrangements and care have been entrusted to Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. Condolences and memories may be sent to the family online at www.mengfuneralhome.com.
