Charles Wayne Stewart, Sr. age 66, of Linton, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 28, 2006, 5:45 PM at his residence. He was born February 16, 1940 to Harry and Beatrice (Hubble) Stewart. Charles worked construction pouring concrete and laying blocks until retiring in 2005. He was a member of Sons of The Legion with American Legion Post #22 of Linton. Charles is survived by three sons; Chuck W. (Kari) Stewart of Linton, Tony D. (Julia, Ju-Ju) Stewart of Linton, and Jason T. (Tracy Prater) Stewart of Linton, eight grandchildren; Nikki, Emili, Dustin, Stephenie, Samantha, Steven, Sean Stewart and Ryan Prater. He is also survived by his sister Patty (Larry) Browning of Kokomo, Indiana and brother Harry "Joe" (Sylvia) Stewart of Linton, Indiana. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, four sister; Gloria Beechler, Barbara Anderson, Phyllis Wiczulis and Betty Ferry and 2 brothers, Eddie Stewart and David Utt. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A cremation service is scheduled with a memorial gathering at his residence from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2006. The family has requested memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to be made to the Anderson- Poindexter Funeral Home.
