Cheryl D. Miller, 74, of Newburgh, Indiana formerly of Odon, passed away with loving family by her side, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born on September 5, 1946, in Bedford, Indiana to John H. and Mary E. (Buttorff) O'Bannon. Cheryl married the love of her life, Clifton E. 'Buck' Miller, on July 2, 1966.

Cheryl was a member of the Odon Christian Church and the Odon Order of Eastern Star #341. She was a Budget Officer at NWSC Crane, retiring in 2000 with 33 years of service. Cheryl enjoyed being a social butterfly, planning special events, having dates with her lunch bunch and especially spending time with her family. The family matriarch she was.

Family left to cherish the memories of Cheryl include son, John (Michele) Miller of Blythewood, SC; daughter, Andrea (Jeffrey) Cardwell of Evansville; five grandchildren, Allyson and Ethan Speicher, Lauren, Haley and Madison Cardwell; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Sandra Asdell of Manteno, IL, also by several nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clifton E. 'Buck' Miller.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Richard Crabtree officiating. Cheryl will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 28 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. An Order of Eastern Star service will be held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
