Eldena Sue Roark, 102, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven with her family by her side at Parkview Village Christian Care at Odon, on Friday, September 13, 2024. She was born on August 14, 1922 in Epsom, Indiana to Art and Julia (Fiddler) Woodruff. Eldena married the love of her life, John Roark on November 14, 1945.

Eldena was a member of the United Methodist Church of Elnora. She was a homemaker and loved working alongside her husband on the farm and especially liked spending time with her whole family. Eldena loved Parkview and enjoyed all of the activities there.

Family left to cherish the many memories of Eldena include: one son, John (Robin) Roark of Linton; one daughter, Linda (Tom) Bredeweg of Washington, IN; son-in-law, Randy Rader; six grandchildren, Rodney Roark, Scott Roark, Jeff Rader, Brad Rader, Danielle (Jon) Ogilvie and Lacey Cooper; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Eldena was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, John Roark; daughter, Regene Rader; grandson, Dennis Roark; brothers, Austin, Lillbern, Bud, Bill and infant Alfa; sisters, Zelda Mallet, Allegre Moore, Hazel Malone, Dorothy Meek, Melinda Petty and Imogene Campbell.

Private graveside services to honor the life of Eldena will be held with Pastor Ron Haynes officiating.
