Everly Kate Montgomery, 10, of Odon, Indiana, joined the angels in heaven on Friday, July 29th, 2022, unexpectedly.  She was born on May 10th, 2012, in Evansville, Indiana, to Joel R. and Heather N. (Harp) Montgomery.

Everly Kate was a member of the Odon Christian Church and a student at North Daviess Elementary.  Additional memberships included the Future Cougar Volleyball and Cross Country Clubs, Girls Who Code, FRYL Softball, and the North Daviess 10U Softball Allstar Team.  The family loved attending her athletic events together.  When not playing sports, Everly loved riding her bicycle to the local library.  She was a bright, inquisitive young girl and an avid reader.  Her smile and enthusiasm could brighten anyone's day.

Family who will cherish these memories include, her parents, Joel & Heather Montgomery, a loving brother, Grayson, maternal grandparents, Steve (Karen) Harp and maternal great-grandparents, Boomie (Sharon) Vaught all of Bloomfield, paternal grandparents, Richard (Shannon) Montgomery of Linton, Aunt Ashton (Uncle Andrew) Shelter of Evansville, and Cousin Charlotte.

Everly Kate was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Harold and Esther Harp, Alva and Dorothy Bennett and James and Mary Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the Odon Christian Church, 658 W Elnora St., Odon, IN, with Pastor Micah Stephen officiating.  Everly Kate will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may gather from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions in Everly's memory can be made to the Odon Winklepleck Library.
