Freda C. Anders, Elnora, Indiana was born to Willard and Hazel Sutton on October 11, 1940, in Keavy, Kentucky. She passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on June 22nd, 2026, to join her Lord and Savior.

Freda graduated from Lilly High School in Kentucky where she met her husband. She married Charles Anders on September 23, 1958. She and Charles moved to Southport, Indiana, where they raised their two children, Jeff and Rhonda, and built their life. They were happily married for 65 years until his passing in August of 2024.

She was an active member at Southport Heights Christian Church for 58 years. She served in the transportation ministry and was very active in the music ministry. This included Sisters in Song, the handbells and choir. She was also the church finance secretary for 11 years after retirement. Freda and Charles moved to Odon in 2022. After Charles' passing, Freda continued to worship at the Odon Church of the Nazarene.

She dedicated her life and many years of service to her church, her family, and her favorite job of all, being Grandma. Freda and Charles were called Grandma and Grandpa by many through the years. They had a gift of making everyone feel like family.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Syberg; son, Jeff (Amy) Anders; grandchildren, Stephen Syberg, Sean Syberg, Makenzie Tingle (Justin), Colton Anders (Alexis), Evan Anders and Jacob Anders; great-grandchildren, Abby, Aubrey, Hadley, Josie, Charlotte and Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Anders and her brother, Coleman D. Sutton of Canton, Georgia.

Graveside service will be held at Locust Grove Cemetery, Keavy, Kentucky 40737 on Thursday, June 25th, at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 27th at Southport Heights Christian Church, 7154 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227. The family will begin receiving visitors at 1:00 PM. The celebration will begin at 1:30 PM.
