Freddie J. Parsons, 81, of Odon, Indiana passed from this life with family by his side, on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. He was born on July 12, 1944, in Montgomery, Indiana to John W. and Gladys (Hummerickhouse) Parsons.

Freddie was a charter member of the Raglesville Lions Club and was a Van Buren Township Trustee for 12 years. He was a farmer, an auctioneer and also a bus driver for North Daviess Schools. Freddie enjoyed sports, listening to North Daviess sports on the radio, coaching Frank Roberts Youth Little League and especially watching his grandkids play volleyball and basketball. He was an avid IU fan, enjoyed throwing horseshoes and liked Allis Calmers tractors.

Family left to cherish the memories of Freddie include: two sons, Kelly Parsons and Greg Parsons; one daughter, Valerie (Rhett) Williams; two grandchildren, Ella and Adalyn Williams; one brother, William Parsons.

Freddie was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, James, Robert and Lloyd Parsons; sisters, Corrine Clark and infant, Helen Louise Parsons.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with DJ Healy officiating. Freddie will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Raglesville Mens Club or Raglesville Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
