Gloria M. Ray, 88, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Parkview Village Christian Care in Odon on Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born on October 10, 1933, in Braceville, Illinois to Henry and Margaret (Harvey) Gaddo. Gloria married the love of her life, WR Ray on May 17, 1952.

Gloria was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble. She was a homemaker and took pride in caring for her home and family. Gloria owned the Odon Fabric & Yarn Store for 5 years, she loved knitting and sewing.

Family left to cherish the memory of Gloria include son, David (Connie) Ray of Plainville; daughters, Dawn (Jeff) Caldwell of Georgetown, KY, Deidre (Greg) Bechtel of Odon and Darla (Terry) Lowder of Paragon; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, WR Ray; granddaughter, Cassie Jo; grandson, Christopher David; great-grandson, David Cooper; brother, Henry Gaddo, Jr.; two sisters, Elaine Joyce and Dorothy Spiezio.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Father J. Kenneth Walker officiating. Gloria will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bramble.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Village Christian Care or Ketcham Memorial Nursing Center in Odon. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
