Harold Ray 'Winkie' Winklepleck,78, of Odon, Indiana, passed away with his loved ones by his side on Friday, March 13, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on April 1, 1941 in Daviess County, Indiana to Alva and Mattie (Williams) Winklepleck. Ray married the love of his life, Betty (Doyle) Winklepleck on August 9, 2008.

Ray worked as a carpenter for many years, McCords Inc. and also employed by Raydar.  He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary where he assisted with several military services and was proud of the activities with them. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family.

Family left to cherish Ray's memory include: his wife, Betty; two daughters, Dana (Bob) Winklepleck Hunley of Dugger and Stacy Winklepleck (Chris Kingsbury) of Ellettsville; one step-son, Clay Howard of Shoals and eight grandchildren; three brothers, George (Martha) Winklepleck, of Texas, Jonas (Betty) Winklepleck and Roy (Judy) Winklepleck both of Odon; three sisters, Lois O'Bryan of Arizona, Wanita MacDonald of Washington and Betty (Gary) Thomas of Odon.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and step-son David Michael 'Howie' Howard, brothers Edward Winklepleck, Johnnie Sipes, sister Georgia Ann Vaughn and sister-in-law, Judy Winklepleck.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Adam Cissell officiating. Harold will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery.  A VFW service will be held honoring Ray's dedication to helping with Military Services with Frank Roberts #9627.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Raglesville Cemetery in memory of Ray.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
