Ira Albert Arney, 94, of Edinburg, IN formerly of Sandborn, IN passed away Saturday, November 4, 2006. Ira was born August 11, 1912 to George William & Alma Rebecca (Woodsmall) Arney. On March 4, 1933 he married Evelyn Gladys Newkirk. Ira worked as a farmer and a meat cutter. He was formerly a member of Washington Assembly of God, attended Sandborn United Methodist Church, and current member of Columbus Assembly of God. Ira is survived by two daughters; Judy Dishman of Covington, GA and Sonda Dyson of Edinburgh, IN, grandchildren; Gregory Arney of Sanford, FL, Lisa Arney of Lake Mary, FL, Shawn Sylvia of North Vernon, IN; Melanie Saglimbene of Covington, GA, and Tera Dyson of Anderson, IN. Ira is also survived by brother; Floyd William Arney of Chula Vista, CA, three sisters; Lucille Alma Skomp of Odon, IN, Mary Evelyn Galloway of Indianapolis, IN, and Mildred Tone Arney of Odon, IN. He is preceded in death by wife Evelyn Gladys (Newkirk) Arney, his parents, brothers; Ermel Ray, Hermel Fay, Wilbur Fredrick, Lester Wilson, Emerson Elwood; Sister; Doris May , sons; Albert Wayne and Verlin Lee. The graveside service will be held at the Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn, IN on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:00 CT. AM with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating.
