James Rex Osmon, 71, of Odon, Indiana, passed away surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. He was born on October 4, 1949 in Linton, Indiana to Arthur Frank and Wilma Gene (Sears) Osmon. Jim was married to Nola (Osborn) Osmon.

Jim was a member of the Odon VFW Post #9627. He retired in 2004 from Crane. Jim enjoyed working outside, flowers, fishing, his dog Charlie, gardening and sharing garden produce with friends.

Family left to cherish the memory of Jim include: his wife, Nola Osmon; daughter, Tara (Jason) Miller; sons, Travis (Cindy) Osmon and Trent (Karrie) Osmon; grandchildren, Megan (Trenton) McCorkle, Morgan Osmon, Molly, Sophia and Riley Osmon, Caleb, Lydia and Silas Miller; and one brother, Jerry (Margaret) Osmon.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. Jim will be laid to rest at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jim to the Odon VFW Post #9627. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
