Janie C. Worley, 77, passed away on May 28, 2022, at her residence in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was born April 11, 1945, in Oolitic, Indiana, the daughter of Alfred Harrison and Josephine Edith (Oliver) Staggs.

Janie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She retired after working as a cake decorator for many years and later used her talent of writing by becoming a published author.

Family left to cherish the memory of Janie include five sons; Michael David, Kenton Wade, Nicholas (Cassandra) Keith, Daniel Joseph and Matthew Darren Worley; eight grandchildren, Miranda, Michael, Josh, Garrett, Angelica, Tristan, Sierra and Alexander Worley; great-grandchildren, Wade, Audrey, Delilah, Kaden, Charlee and Bristol Worley. Also surviving are two brothers; Terry Joe Staggs and Kenny Gillian; three sisters; Kathy Howell, Mary Elizabeth Copeland and Judith Ann Gee.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald, Dick, Fred, Alfred and Douglas Staggs; sisters, Melvina Hestand and Helen Marie Killion.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located 1010 22nd St., Bedford, IN 47421 with Bishop Rocky Webb officiating. Janie will be laid to rest in Hillenburg Cemetery in Heltonville, Indiana.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday at the church.
