Jerry D. Sims, 73, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 13, 1949 in Washington, Indiana to Francis and Violet (Chestnut) Sims.

Jerry retired from the Cheese Factory with 38 years of service. He enjoyed playing pool and was a Pool Shark. Jerry loved sports, especially Bobby Knight. He had a love of music, playing in the band, Teddy and the Midnight Seekers, in his younger years.

Family left to cherish the memory of Jerry include: one son, Mark Sims; two daughters, Emily (Delbert) Sims and Donna (Scott) Long; three grandchildren, Kaleb, Dylan (Kenzi) and Jacob; three sisters, Nancy (Mike) Bailey, Darla (Max) Simmons and Anita (Duane) Aders.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Tommy Sims, one niece and two great-nieces.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon. There will be no services held.
