Jimmie F. Yagle, 83, of Sandborn, IN, entered his heavenly home on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Parkview Village in Odon, IN. He was born on September. 5, 1937, in Sandborn, IN, to Clarence H. 'Jim' and Mable A. (Myers) Yagle.
Jimmie was a farmer his entire life and loved spending his days on the family farm. He was a member of the Sandborn United Methodist Church, the Sandborn Masonic Lodge where he was the Past Master, Valley of Terre Haute Scottish Rite and the Zorah Shrine. Jimmie always wore a big happy smile and never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking with people, especially joking and telling funny stories. In his leisure time, Jimmie enjoyed playing cards with his buddies, looking at the crops and watching RFD Network. Most of all, he cherished family time and gatherings with friends. Jimmie will be sadly missed by his family, friends, Sandborn and the surrounding communities.
Family left to cherish Jimmie's memory include: a son, J. (Pam) Yagle of Sandborn; daughter, Janessa (Kyle) Crabtree of Plainfield; grandchildren, Nate (Amber) Yagle, Lacey (Clayton) Ramsey, and Jordan (JoDee) Templeton; great grandchildren: Madison, Cash, Bianca, Jayla, and Eli; sister-in-law, Jackie McKee; and several nieces & nephews.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judy Yagle, and brother, David W. 'Colonel' Yagle.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday. August. 24, 2021, at the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, with Bryan Sanders officiating. Jimmie will be laid to rest in the Sandborn Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, August. 23, 2021, and from 10:00 AM on Tuesday until the hour of service at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Contributions in memory of Jimmie may be made to the Sandborn United Methodist Church Women's Ministry.
