Joel S. Tennant, 55, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven, on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on December 3, 1970, in Valparaiso, Indiana to Ronald E. and Betty Jo (Rinehart) Tennant. Joel married his loving wife, Roseann L. (Howard) Tennant on July 25, 1992.

Joel was a member of the Odon United Methodist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church of South Haven, Elnora Masonic Lodge (Past Master of Odon and Elnora Lodges), York Rite of Greene County and Bloomington and Order of Eastern Star (Past Patron). He worked for many years as a Casino Table Game Supervisor.

Family left to cherish the memories of Joel include his wife, Rose Tennant; his father, Ronald E. Tennant of Fort Smith, AR; two brothers, Jim (Karen) Tennant of LaPorte and Jeff (Laurie) Tennant of Van Buren, AR.

Joel was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Tennant and his brother, John Tennant.

Funeral services to honor the life of Joel will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Odon United Methodist Church. Joel will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church. Masonic and Eastern Star Memorial Services will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21.

Memorial contributions may be made to ICAN through Eastern Star. Envelopes will be available at the church.
