John R. Donathen, 83, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born on January 30, 1943, in Plymouth, Indiana to Samuel John and Marjorie Helen (Cripe) Donathen.

John attended Switz City Christian Church. He was a member of the Linton FOP #105. John was a supervisor at Kraft Foods, retiring in 1991.

Family left to cherish the memory of John include: his companion, Millie Kenworthy; two sons, Stephen John (Karen) Donathen of Skull Valley, AZ and Gregory John (Michelle) Donathen of Riverside, CA; one daughter, Kimberly Ann (Bruce) Haro of Forreston, IL and sister, Joyce Bell of Andalusia, AL.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Allen Donathen and Donald Gene Donathen.

Honoring John’s wishes there will be no viewing or services.
