John David Lawyer, 76, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at his home. He was the son of Ralph and Pauline Lawyer of Plainville, IN. John David was married to Donna Jean Wolfe, who proceeded him in death.

John served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1969 and as an Honor Guard for the American Legion. John David worked several jobs in his early life. In November 1982, he started his own company as a railroad contractor, which he did for 33 years.

David loved to play the organ and keyboard at home and for his church in Huntsville.

Family left to cherish his memory include sister, Shirley McCann of Huntsville, AL; Sister-in-law, Kathy Lawyer of Huntsville, AL; stepsons, Neal Wolfe of AZ, and David Wolfe of IL; nephews, Brad, and Kevin Lawyer of IN; several nieces and great nieces and nephews.

John David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Jean Wolfe; brothers, Phillip, and Jacob Lawyer.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Plainville Cemetery.
