John D. Wilkes, 37, of Cloverdale formerly of Linton, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 12, 2006. John was born in Linton, Indiana on May 22, 1969 to John A. and Carol K. (King) Wilkes. He married Angela D. Jamerson in 2006. John worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Operators Union. John is survived by his parents, daughter; Ashley Wilkes, wife, maternal grandmother; Alfreda King of St. Johnbury, VT, and his sister; Lynn A. (Tom) Louviere of Jasper, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his grandparents. A private visitation will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel in Dugger, Indiana on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM. A private graveside service will be held at the Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana on November 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Brother Nick Moore officiating. Memorial contributions are to be made out to the Shriners Children Hospital, St. Louis, MO Unit. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
