Karen Kay (Sanders) Kelsey, 72, of Odon, Indiana, passed from this life, on Friday, September 11, 2026, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on March 24, 1954, in Linton, Indiana to William Ernest and Patricia Ann (Wright) Sanders. Karen married Randy Kelsey on September 4, 1998.

Karen worked as a Paralegal, retiring in 2025.

Family left to cherish the memory of Karen include her husband, Randy Kelsey; two sons, Aron (Amanda) Irish of Linton and Ryan (Jennifer) Irish of Terre Haute; two grandsons, Braiden (Grace) Irish and Brody Irish; two granddaughters, Lyric Irish and Aja Irish; great-grandson, Felix Irish; brother, Keith (JeanAnne) Sanders; nieces, Autumn (Adam) Nonte and Laura Kay (Steven) Rose; nephews, Daniel O’Connor and Michael O’Connor; great-nieces, Lynnly Kirkman, Chloe Kirkman and Avi Kirkman, Sophie Nonte, Hollee Rose, Karlie O’Connor, Myla O’Connor and Maelyn Hopkins; great-nephews, Jagger Nonte, Jake Rose, John O’Connor and Michael Lee O’Connor.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karna O’Connor; brother, Kirk Sanders; stepdaughter, Beth Walker and stepson, Christopher Kelsey.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Doug Heidenreich officiating. Karen will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon at a later date.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 4:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
