Kenny Colin Barrett, 73, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Poplar Care Strategies in Loogootee, Indiana. He was born on April 7, 1953, in Owensville, Indiana to Benjamin and Annabelle (Sokeland) Barrett. Kenny married his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra Barrett, on March 2, 1979.

Kenny was a US Navy veteran. He was employed as a Pyrotech Supervisor at Crane. He liked his German Shepherds, shooting pool and he loved his cats. Kenny was an excellent basketball player in school.

Family left to cherish the memory of Kenny include his wife, Sandra Bennett; brother, Kent Barrett; sisters, Karen Barrett and Connie Wiggins.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kimberlee Bracken; son, Kenneth Bracken; brothers, Harold, Doyin, Ronald and Gary Barrett.

Honoring Kenny’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. He will be laid to rest in Freelandville Cemetery at a later date.
