Lois Marie Malone, 91, of Elnora, Indiana, passed from this life, with her family by her side while listening to her favorite gospel hymns on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Ketcham Memorial Nursing Center in Odon, Indiana. She was born on February 8, 1933 in Elnora, Indiana to Charles and Mary Eva (Thomas) Ketchem. Lois married the love of her life, John F. Malone, on July 12, 1963.

Lois attended the Elnora United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed her family and was loved by all who knew her. Her favorite pastimes were watching birds, Westerns and playing 500 Rummy.

Family left to cherish the memories of Lois include: two daughters, Patricia (Michael) Roark of Edwardsport and Judith (Charles) Stedman of Elnora; four grandchildren, John Stedman, Jessica (Eric) Arthur, Kayla (James) Gardner and Wesley (Emily) Roark; four great-grandchildren, Keaton Stedman, Violet Gardner, Jaelynn Stedman and Jemma Stedman; two sisters, Darlene Chamberlain of Craig, CO and Sue Pickett of Linton.

Lois was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, John Malone; three brothers, Charles, Donald and Danny Ketchem; three sisters, Maxine Goad, Naomi Bechtel and Lucille Mumma.

Funeral services to honor the life of Lois will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rev. Mark Reed officiating. Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband John in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 5 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
