Lowell E. ‘JR’ Harroll, Jr., 59, of Switz City, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in Linton, Indiana. He was born on August 18, 1966, in Linton to Lowell E. ‘Hap’ and Lena Mae (Canady) Harroll.

JR was a self-employed tree trimmer. He loved spending time with family and was a good dad, brother, uncle and friend.

Family left to cherish the memories of JR include: two sons, Jesse Smith and Tyler Smith, both of French Lick; brother, Jim (Penny) Harroll of Corydon; sisters, Cindy (Doug) McCammon of Linton and Debbie (Dick) Waskom of Switz City; niece, Joy (Rick) Weaver of Linton; nephew, Terry (Valerie) Pigg of Linton; several grandchildren who he dearly loved and several other nieces and nephews.

JR was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathy Lynn (Miller) Harroll; son, Jeriah Gamble and brother, Michael Harroll.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of JR will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Switz City Cemetery with Nyle Reigle officiating.
