Luella M. Hughes, 92, of Linton, Indiana, went to be with Jesus, with family by her side, at The Health Center at Glenburn in Linton, on Monday, April 22, 2024. She was born in Gibson County, Indiana on June 26, 1931 to Oren C. and Martha M. (Phillips) Jones.

Luella was a member of the 12th Street Church of God. She worked as a seamstress at Perfect Fit Industries in Loogootee, retiring in 1998 with several years of service. Luella loved to sew, quilt, attend church, do crossword puzzles and especially spending time with her family.

Family left to cherish the memory of Luella include: two sons, Larry E. (Margaret) Dent of Newberry and Daniel W. Dent of Odon; daughter, Patricia C. (Frank) Wallace of Switz City; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lendell Dale (Sheila) Jones and sister, Imogene Houghland.

Luella was preceded in death by: her parents; two daughters, Barbara K. Anderson and Judy A. Stuffle; a granddaughter, Jami Dent and sister, Sue Carnahan.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Sandborn Cemetery.
