Martha A. Strange, 78, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed from this life with family surrounding her, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. She was born on October 3, 1948, in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Thomas and Mary Ann (Mecey) Rawson. Martha married her loving husband, William S. ‘Bill’ Strange, on July 27, 1968.

Martha was of the Catholic faith. She was a Registered Nurse at Gentle Care Nursing Home, retiring in 2000 with 18 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, vacationing in Florida during the winter months, was an avid reader and crafter. She liked playing arcade games and miniature golf.

Family left to cherish the memories of Martha include her husband, Bill Strange; son, Bill (April) Strange of Washington; daughter, Cindy (Donny) Mullins of Shoals; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Dave Rawson and sister, Nina Robbason.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Rawson.

Funeral services to honor the life of Martha will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Richard Crabtree officiating. Martha will be laid to rest in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2026, and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
