Martha S. Wilfong, 81, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006. Martha was born in Rock Hill South Carolina on November 22, 1924 to James F. and Ruth C. (Jennings) Shehan. On February 15, 1942 she married Luther Hurbert Wilfong, Sr. She was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville, Indiana. Martha is survived by two daughters; Teresa (John) Campbell of Pleasantville, Indiana and Grace (Cliff) Sweazy of Brandenberg, Kentucky, four sons; James (Anita) Wilfong, Sr. of Dugger, Indiana, Paul Wilfong of Crandall Indiana, Charles Wilfong of Marengo, Indiana and Lloyd (Joyce) Wilfong of Grey, Georgia. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons; Luther Wilfong, Jr. and Johnny Wilfong, two daughters; Ruth Faile and Annette Wilfong, one grandchild James Keith Wilfong, Jr., one great grandchild Shane Sweazy and one sister Mary Aldridge. Visitation will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel in Dugger, Indiana on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. The service will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Ross officiating. Cremation is scheduled to follow.
