Mary J. Quick, 73, of Burns City, Indiana, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on February 20, 1951 in French Lick, Indiana to the late Calvin D. and Lois (Wininger) Cox. Mary married Ronald Quick on June 14, 1969.
Mary graduated from Loogootee High School in 1969. She retired from Ketcham Memorial Center, as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), after 40 years of service. As a CNA, Mary Jane touched countless lives. As she became a resident at Ketcham, her dedication came full circle, being cared for by prior colleagues and friends, and later inspiring a new generation of caregivers, who lovingly reciprocated her kindness.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Michelle) Quick and Jammie (Kyla) Quick of Burns City, IN, and daughter, Casey (Alan) Reed of Kingman, AZ; two grandchildren, Karter and Kenna Quick; sister, Margaret (Larry) Dent; brother, Calvin 'Leon' Cox; and nieces, Sherri Dent and Kim Dent.
Preceding Mary Jane in death are husband, Ronald Quick; Mother, Lois (Wininger) Cox; Father, Calvin D. Cox and Stepmother, Claudia Cox.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13 at Burns City Cemetery with Adam Cissell officiating.
