Mary Ellen Dale, 83, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Friday, June 6, 2025 at her home in Odon, Indiana. Mary was born at home in Odon on April 8, 1942 to Charles Lee and Nellie (Brock) Dale. She was a lifelong resident of Odon

Mary was a 1961 graduate of Odon High School. She was a quiet, yet faithful member of the Odon Christian Church for over 20 years, where she met many beloved friends. Putting in an honest days work was always important as well as a joy to Mary. She retired from RCA in Bloomington, then went on to work at the Machine Shop in Bloomfield and finally at Star Glove in Plainville. She often spoke of the time she spent at these places and the people she met at them.

Although Mary never wed or had any children of her own, she loved kids and had a very special place in her heart for children with cancer. This love prompted her to be a long time supporter of the Children's Cancer Research Fund as well as St. Jude's Hospital for Children. Anyone wishing to honor Mary's life may do so by making a donation in her memory to one of these organizations.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, as well as two sisters, Caroline and Kathryn.

Honoring Mary's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
