Mary Lucine (Holland) Sims, 89, of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Columbus. She was born on December 13, 1927 in Bramble, Indiana to George Marion and Grace (Crane) Holland. She married George Sterling Sims on April 30, 1946.

Mary was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and word games, and was an avid reader. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home and family.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard Sims of Columbus and Ronald Sims of Bedford; two daughters, Dianna (William) Gottwalles of Columbus and Denise (Mark) Rollins of Newberry and brother-in -law, Keith Sims of Odon.

Mary was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, George Sims; grandson, David Bechtel; brothers, Paul, James and Thomas Holland; sisters, Dorothy Milligan, Clara Rose Rainey and Wanda Colvin

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bramble, with Fr. Joseph F. Erbacher officiating.  Mary will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery.
