Mary J. Powell, age 74, passed from this life on Saturday, August 05, 2006, at the Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. She was born on September 02, 1931, to Virgil and Bertha (Price) Eller. On September 10, 1948, she married Chester H. Powell. She was a homemaker.
Mary Jane is survived by six daughters: Diane and husband, Everett Sturgis, Jr., Charlotte and husband, Stephen Holcomb, Tina and husband, Ed Singleton, Patrice and husband, Bart Shafford, Lori and husband, Roger Hall all of Linton, and Georgette and husband, Doug Johnson of Indianapolis, one son: Gary and wife, Bettejean Powell of Jasonville, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Rev. Sam Bush will officiate and burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
