Michael Dee Byrer, 70, of Plainville, Indiana, passed away with family by his side, on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Eastgate Manor at Washington, Indiana. He was born on May 13, 1955 in Washington to Ferman Dee and Harriet T. (Butcher) Byrer.

Michael worked maintenance at Washington Nursing Center for several years before retiring in 2000.

Family left to cherish the memory of Michael include: one daughter, Donetta (Brad Kaiser) Dreiman of Vincennes; grandchildren, Brianna Dreiman, Briana Kaiser and Cole Kaiser; two sisters, Patty (Alan) Dyer of Plainville and Brenda (Jerry) Edelman of Bloomfield.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Eddie Byrer.

Funeral services to honor the life of Michael will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Chaplain Joshua Jones officiating. Michael will be laid to rest in Kilgore Cemetery in Raglesville.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.
