Nina Ruth (Melsheimer) LaMar, 73, of Port Charlotte, Florida and Jasper, Indiana, formerly of Odon, Indiana, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 1, 2020 in Port Charlotte. She was born on July 16, 1946 in Elnora, Indiana to Arnold and Bethel (Kail) Melsheimer. She married the love of her life, Gary D. LaMar on April 5, 1969.

Nina was a member of the Odon First Christian Church. She was an Electronic Technician at Crane with 36 years of service when she retired in 2005. Nina enjoyed living in Florida, the beach life, finding shark teeth, and marathon walking with her beloved dog, Kiki. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

Family left to cherish the memory of Nina include: her husband, Gary D. LaMar of Port Charlotte, FL and Jasper, IN; three brothers, Melvin (Joan) Melsheimer of Tennyson, IN, Larry (Rita) Melsheimer of Vincennes, IN and Ivan (Donna) Melsheimer of Canyon Lake, TX.  She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Greene.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Richard Crabtree officiating. Nina will be laid to rest in Burns City Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 9 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
