Patricia Jane Welton, 80, of Chester Texas, passed peacefully from this life on August 21, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born November 11, 1944, in Linton, Indiana, to Robert and Lucille (Colley) Wells.

Patty was a member of the Linton First Christian Church and had attended Glorious Way Church in Houston, TX. She worked as a Speech Therapist for the Alvine School District, serving families until her retirement in 1999.

Family left to cherish the memories of Patty including her daughter, Jennifer Montgomery of Chester, TX; son, James (Michelle) Welton of Magnolia, TX; as well as her two loving grandchildren.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services to honor the life of Patty will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Warren Shake officiating. Patty will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
