Phillip Lane Poe, 75, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with his family surrounding him, on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born on September 8, 1944 in Linton to Joseph and Anita (Heaton) Poe. Phil married his loving wife, Patricia Ann (Gregg) Poe on May 13, 1961.
Phil was a member of the Linton BPO Elks #866 and the IBEW #725. He worked as an Electrician with 40 years of service at Poe and Diamond Electric before retiring in 2004. Phil enjoyed golfing, spending time in Florida and traveling.
Family left to cherish the memory of Phil include: his wife, Patty Poe; two daughters, Tami (Jim) Newton of Kingston, NV and Angie (Mike) Yuodzukinas; two sons, Scott (Cathy) Poe and A.J. (Medley) Poe, all of Linton; grandchildren, Jeremy (Gina) Newton, Jeff Poe, Josh (Alyssa) Newton, Jenny Poe, Shandi (Andy) Wilson, Jessy Yuodzukinas, Alexa (Kris) Lezama, Reese Yuodzukinas, Brayden Poe and Eli Poe; great-grandchildren, Devan, Dylan, Aiden, Adley and Octavia; one brother, Larry (Arlene) Poe of Linton; his best buddy, Jack; several nieces and nephews.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services to honor the life of Phil will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Nick Moore officiating. Phil will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Phil to S.A.F.E. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
