Phyllis A. Poe, 92, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at her home in Linton. She was born on July 17, 1928, in Linton to W.C. and Doris (Sargent) Taylor. She married the love of her life, William M. 'Bill' Poe on January 22, 1950.

Phyllis was in the graduating class of 1946, Linton-Stockton High School and attended Gradwahl School in St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a medical technologist for Dr. John Woner and as a receptionist for Dr. Milton Tomak before retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.

Family left to cherish the memory of Phyllis include: her sons, Brad (Robin) Poe of Linton and Kenneth Poe of Terre Haute; her grandchildren, Rebekah (Tim) Bernard of Linton, Josh Poe of Terre Haute and 6 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William M. Poe.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Meng Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel with Pastor John Winders officiating. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery next to her husband.
