Providence "Puddy" Humphreys, 97, of Linton passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at Lyons Health and Living Center. Puddy was born April 28, 1909 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Joseph and Annetta (Guiffre') Fusco. On August 2, 1934, she married Robert Sherwood Humphreys in Terre Haute. Puddy was a homemaker. She was a member St. Peter Catholic Church and BPO Elks #866 Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter; Sherry Ann (Rodney) Haworth of Cincinnati, Ohio, grandson; Jeffrey Lee Haworth, granddaughter; Rebecca Ann (Haworth) Campbell, great-grandchildren; Joel M. Haworth, James D. Haworth, Lydia Grace Haworth and Andrew C. Campbell. Puddy is also survived by two brothers; Charles and Manuel Fusco. She is preceded in death by her sister, Josephine (Fusco) Telleri, brothers; Frank, Leonard, James, Joseph Fusco, and step-grandson, Greg Haworth. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and a graveside service will follow. Rev Hilary Vieck will officiate the graveside service at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the St. Peter Catholic Church.
